With great sorrow and submission to the will of Allah (SWT), we inform you that Dr. Majdi Omar has passed away today Sunday 11/27/2022 at Genesis Medical Center. (Inna lillahe wa inna ilaihe rajiun).
We as the Muslim community express our sincere sympathy to the family and pray to Allah to give him mercy and forgiveness and give his family and love ones patience.
He is survived by:
• Mother Awniyeh Halaweh
• Wife Nihaya Omar
• Children Muna, Lubna, Waleed and 3 grandchildren
• Sons in-law Ahmad Abu-Afifeh, Islam Alyafawi and daughter-in-law Deema Martini
Funeral Arrangements: Tomorrow Monday 11/28/2022
• The remains of the deceased, after Ghusl (washing), will leave the funeral home shortly after 12:10 pm and will be brought to the Bettendorf Mosque in Bettendorf (MCQC)
• Janaza prayer will be after Zuhr Prayer at MCQC at 12:30pm
• Burial will be done immediately afterward at the Pine Hill Cemetery in Davenport, Iowa

We will recite the Holy Quran at the Bettendorf Mosque, tomorrow Monday from 6:00pm – 7:30pm, followed by Isha prayer.
